Zorak Unplugged

The place was New Paltz, NY. The year was 2006. The band was Fnord and the sound was dark, progressive sludge rock. I was the oldest member of the band at 23. The other guys were still in high school. Our singer also played trumpet which he lit on fire at some of our live gigs. We'd close our shows with a Henry Mancini (by way of John Zorn) cover. Our originals had titles based on The X Files, The Jerky Boys and Space Ghost.

Today was the first time in 12 years that I've played one of those songs with my old guitarist. He was passing through my neck of the woods and we just had to bust out the acoustics and jam on Zorak: King of the Mantis People.

Welcome to my Video Blog. I'm Jason and I will be your host. Armed with a couple of cheap camcorders and some PC Editing gear, I try to capture a little slice of my life. Sometimes I make movies. Sometimes I shoot at events. Sometimes I shoot random stuff that looks cool. Sometimes my footage is extremely cool. Sometimes it's mindnumbingly dull. Usually it's somewhere in between. All video content on this blog is shot and edited by me unless otherwise noted. Here's a short trailer you can watch. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy.
