Washington Interns Gone Bad Episode 10

Here's the 10th episode of my feature film, Washington Interns Gone Bad. I highly recommend you start at the beginning, so here's part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8, and part 9.

This is the episode in which I predicted the Jack Abramoff scandal a few years before the fact. It's also the sexiest episode, and the second to last. Enjoy.

This is your country

Tuesday has come and gone without a new episode of Washington Interns Gone Bad. I promise there will be a new one very shortly. All of that stuff is in a pc format and I'm mainly working on my mac these days. But I'm making it easier to switch between the two, and we'll be back to normal in no time. So in the meantime...

This is a little ad I did for MoveOn.org's Bush in 30 Seconds contest. It's not the most original thing in the world. It is the best I could come up with on limited time and no outside help.

Dedicated to my boss

Here's a nice little country song by Ween. While the song itself is about a relationship gone sour, the sentiment is how I feel about my boss. He's an angry little man who derives the only happiness in his pathetic life by making everybody who works for him absolutely miserable. I would ordinarily be wary about blogging about my boss, but on my first week there, the asshole had my domain blocked because too many people were on there to look at pictures of my newborn baby. Way to be endearing to the new guy! And it's all been downhill from there. I relish the day that I quit that lousy sweatshop and can finally tell that miniature petty tyrant the multitude of ways in which he sucks, but for now there's really only one thing to say and that's "Piss up a Rope."

Vau De Vire Society Parade at Vegoose

Here's my first video that I've put together with iMovie on the mac. It's a very simple editor, but for vlogging it seems to do the trick. Almost a year ago, I had the opportunity to go to Las Vegas with San Francisco's premiere avant-cabaret troupe, the Vau De Vire Society. The organizers of the Vegoose festival asked them to put together a cabaret tent, and they put together the coolest show ever with lots of other acts from the Bay Area and elsewhere. To kick things off, they had a little parade through the festival grounds, led by Fishbone's Angelo Moore. If you'd like to compare, here's an unedited version of this that I posted on YouTube.

Now Powered by Mac

How psyched am I? I still have a bunch of video on my PC, but soon I'll be doing all my vlogging and most of everything else on the mac.

Washington Interns Gone Bad Episode 9

Here's the 9th episode of my feature film, Washington Interns Gone Bad. I highly recommend you start at the beginning, so here's part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 7, and part 8.

On the DVD, this chapter is called "The Setup." Becky and Scottie put their plan in motion to get the sleazy congressman.

A Guy Walks Into a Bar

For those of you who have been watching this vlog for a while, this video is not new. But this is the first time that it's available to download. For the tens of newbies out there, this is a short comedy that I made in the spring of 05 for a short film contest run by the local wuss-rock radio station. I heard about the contest and thought that I only had two weeks to get it made, so I enlisted the help of the funniest people I knew and we came up with the concept, banged out a script, rehearsed and shot it all in the course of a week. Then I edited like crazy before finding out that the deadline was actually a month later than we thought. It never did make it into that contest, but it's played in a few festivals to a good response and was even highlighted by Salon.com's vlog. So without further ado, I give you A Guy Walks Into a Bar...

Washington Interns Gone Bad Episode 8

Here's the 8th episode of my feature film, Washington Interns Gone Bad. I highly recommend you start at the beginning, so here's part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6 and part 7.

This episode features the congressman getting really sleazy with Becky and is another showcase for Adam Kroloff's great physical comedy.

Happy Labor Day

Here's a rousing labor anthem from Billy Bragg to celebrate more than just a 3 day weekend. Labor Day is about the people who fought and died to bring us things we take for granted today. Things like the 40 hour work week, job safety, and the end to child labor and company towns. In this day and age of corporate mergers, outsourcing, benefit cuts, stagnating wages and race-to-the-bottom globalization, it is absolutely vital for workers to continue fighting for our rights. And to drive that point home, here's video of Billy Bragg playing a rousing labor anthem in the lobby of the AFL-CIO building in Washington, DC. Solidarity forever!

YouTube has officially Jumped the Shark

Just see for yourself.

Welcome to my Video Blog. I'm Jason and I will be your host. Armed with a couple of cheap camcorders and some PC Editing gear, I try to capture a little slice of my life. Sometimes I make movies. Sometimes I shoot at events. Sometimes I shoot random stuff that looks cool. Sometimes my footage is extremely cool. Sometimes it's mindnumbingly dull. Usually it's somewhere in between. All video content on this blog is shot and edited by me unless otherwise noted. Here's a short trailer you can watch. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy.
