Battle o' the Blogs
OK, so I've had this blog up for a few days now, posted a few videos, and hit Blog Explosion to pimp for some traffic. I'm getting s respectable number of hits both on the page and on the videos. But the 5 times I've entered into Battle of the Blogs, I've gotten a sound beating. I'm not dissing on the blogs that I've battled against. They've all been worthy adversaries. But I would think that a blog offering original video content would do a little bit better.

As I've recently posted on someone else's site, there's often no rhyme or reason to how the battles play out. Yesterday my site was up against the same site twice in a few hours. Once I lost, once I won - content was identical both times.
If you really want to win, consider sacrificing a chicken while you chant naked under the light of a full moon. Or try begging, which I've seen work, and you don't need to buy a chicken.
My best advice? Don't worry, either way. Even if you don't win, you do get exposure. Speaking of exposure, I notice that people who participate in the shoutbox chats seem to do well in the battles.

Thanks Sheila. This last battle I don't mind losing too much. Bonanza Jellybean is freakin' hysterical. I've battled before with other blogs, so I know how it goes. I'm just surprised how badly this one is doing.
I agree with Sheila.
I get my butt spanked at times and others I win with a good margin. There is no method to the madness!

I have a feeling the quick hit blogs (ones with an eyecatching photo or controversial/cute statement) have a big advantage.
Unfortunately your videos by thier nature take more than a second to look at.
So don't take the vote as a 'review' of your site, it's more of a instant impression test.
