Albert Hoffman, Rest in Peace

I had no idea the good doctor was still alive, but apparently he died last night at the ripe old age of 102. Whether you've experienced it yourself or you think it's an evil chemical, it cannot be denied that his invention had a profound impact on the world. Just try picturing a world where Sgt. Pepper never existed. I would not want to live in that world.

May he rest in peace.

David Letterman noted last night that Albert Hofmann was the only person responsible for more bad trips than American Airlines.

RIP, sir.

In the famous "don't eat the brown acid" Woodstock stage announcement, Wavy Gravy says that he prefers to call them Vagabond Voyages rather than Bum Trips.

I like Vagabond Voyages. I've had a few voyages, none vagabond though. Good times!

I've had one that was particularly vagabond, and a few that were somewhat vagabond. But for the most part, the voyages opened my mind way up. I think it's something almost everyone should experience once.
