    A Motor City Snoozer

JSF called me up and reminded me that today was the Michigan primary. Despite my slow phase-out of this blog, we are providing left-right d-list blog coverage of the primaries for our tens of readers and that's quite an awesome responsibility.

On the Democratic side of things, Michigan is a non-event. They went against the wishes of party establishment and moved their primary date up too early and for that offense, they lost their delegates. While challenging the powers that be and shaking up the status quo is usually a good thing, picking your battles wisely is essential. Now the Michigan democrats have no say in who their nominee is. They went against the family and will soon be taking a rowboat ride with Howard Dean.

On the republican side, I couldn't give a rat's ass. They're calling it for McCain, but as polling in New Hampshire shows it's really anyone's game. As much as I'd love to see that plasticine Ken doll Romney really tank in his original home state, Democrats for Romney bring up a very good point in that keeping him in the race will "keep this circular firing squad of jerkos" going. I'm not sure if Giuliani has been giving his "I was great on 9/11" speaking tour in this state, so we'll see how he does. However Ron Paul does, his wingnut followers will declare some kind of victory. I'm not sure if Michigan has enough of those far right mega-churches to make a difference for Huckabee the theocrat. And is that guy from Law and Order still in the race? For more detailed and less sarcastic Hillary Conspiracy coverage of the Republican horse race, be sure to check out Valley of the Shadow.

To be fair, I believe it was Rocco who was in the boat with Fredo, not Michael. I guess the Democratic Party equivalent would be... Donna Brazille?

When I worked at the DNC in 2000 it would have been this jerkoff named Brad Queisser. He was part of what we referred to as the Indiana Mafia who are now all up to no good in the world of lobbying for the corporate takeover of the world. He had the management style of Atilla the Hun, often sending out obnoxious emails to everyone berating us for things like concerns about workplace safety. Bradley, if an egotist like you comes across this while googling yourself, here's a big giant FUCK YOU from Jason Buckley.

But I digress. I'm not sure who would be the equivalent to that massive piece of corporate shit Queisser at the DNC these days.
